Paralympics Day

Paralympics
At the start of term 3 Kauri 12/11 and Kauri 8/9 got together and had a Paralympic day with each other. We played all sorts of different sports, e.g Boccia, Archery, Shot put, Blind Hurdles, Crawling Obstacle Course, Jumping Sack, Blind Object and Scooter Football. My favorite is Jumping Sack, because it was really fun and we did really cool jumps. We had to go around a cone and then come back and give it to the next person in your team. Most of the people in my team and the other team fell over, I fell over like twice. Here are some photos of the Paralympics games we played.

Riana’s Reflection Learning Muscles
Pinenga’s  Reflection
  • The learning muscles that I used where my collaboration muscle collaborating with my buddy and talking to her about what our next step was.
  • Another learning muscle was my managing distraction muscles because there were boys around me so I just had to try and distract them and move on.
  • I also had to use my persevering muscle to keep on trying and to never give up and also to persevere.

  • The learning muscles I used where managing distractions. Because when the boys were talking to me sometimes I will listen and if it’s something silly I will move  away from the person that was talking to me.
  • Another learning muscle I used was my collaboration because when my buddy was talking to me about the next step to do.

This is my Calender Art.

I had fun making my Calender Art
I struggled sometimes but I kept on persevering
and tried my best to carry on and to the best I could.

Here is an image of my Calender art finished.

My Reflection what muscles did you use
  • I used my managing distractions muscle because people were talking around me so I had to ignore them.
  • I also had to use my resilience muscle to keep on trying and never give up no matter how hard it was I persevered.
  • I used my noticing muscle to notice that things might not turn out to be how I wanted it to be.
